The year was 2010 when Tushar Chhabra, a Graduate in Accessory Design from NIFT, New Delhi began crafting hand-made leather goods at a small workshop in Gurugram, India. Tushar had a vision to take the leather interior and furniture design industry to higher levels of creativity and excellence. With a humble background and from little savings he started the brand “Studio Ochre” which would later take his work to greater levels of success and recognition.
Attention to minutest details and a design centric approach towards problem-solving have always been his strengths because of which every single piece at the studio is carefully handcrafted and is detailed to perfection. Tushar has always remained cohesively involved in the entire process of a product right from its designing to its final assembly as he firmly believes that each furniture piece is an investment; a hallmark to one’s home.
What started as a small leather goods workshop in 2010, Studio Ochre now creates a whole array of furniture ranging from Sofa Sets, Bed Sets, Dining Sets to Cabinets and Barwares and many more. It’s a brand which is recognized all over the country for its genuine quality, impeccable comfort, skilled craftsmanship and longevity.

Tushar Chhabra - Founder and Design Head
Behind the successful journey of the brand lies the visionary creative force of Tushar Chhabra, the Founder and Design Head of Studio Ochre. A graduate from NIFT, New Delhi, after having worked extensively in the furniture export industry, discovered his immense love for leather and wood as a material, which eventually gave birth to the brand Studio Ochre. Tushar has always remained cohesively involved in the entire process of a product right from its designing to its final assembly as he firmly believes that each furniture piece is an investment; a hallmark to one’s home.
Mohit Chhabra - Business Development
After graduating in commerce and an intensive work experience of over 4 years in the Finance Industry, Mohit joined hands with his brother Tushar in 2016 to look after the Finance and Business side of the brand. His key areas of work are Finance, Business Development and Marketing.
Our Products:
Every product at Studio Ochre is handcrafted by skilled craftsmen with an aim to create high quality long-lasting goods that will be used and loved for years, and eventually passed on to the next generation. Ever since our inception, we have continually designed exciting new products and expand our offerings as we believe there is no end to furniture designs. We choose carefully from the materials we use and the suppliers we trade with, to the artisans we hire and the alliances we join.
Our commitment to the best quality and most durable product at a fair price is paramount, and we strive to create goods that live up to both our high standards and your high expectations.
Our Studio:
Studio Ochre’s studio workshop and buying store is located in Gurgaon’s Industrial Area, Udhyog Vihar. Our workshop which is spanned over 10,000 sq ft area opened in August 2015, after much work by the team and with our family’s tremendous support.
Upon entering the workshop, you’ll be greeted by the smell of leather and industrial adhesives. Half of the area is devoted to our retail shop and features rotating, seasonal displays of our products. The other half is our workshop and production floor where all of our products are designed and made. You are more than welcome to visit us and witness the quality yourself. Our Materials:
The production of our handcrafted leather goods begins with the best possible raw materials sourced from the most trusted tanneries of India. The leather we use is durable, long-lasting, and easily cleanable. Apart from leather, utmost attention is given while sourcing the lining, hardwares and other ancillaries.
