Our Atelier

Atelier Ochre is the dedicated heart of our craft — a spacious 10,000+ sq ft workspace where premium genuine leather, solid woods, and meticulous skill come together to create timeless furniture pieces built for longevity and elegance.

Structure & Carpentry

Every piece at Studio Ochre begins in the carpentry section, where the base structure is built using either solid wood or plywood, depending on the design and functional requirements. This stage defines the proportions, strength, and overall form of the furniture. Precision in joinery and construction ensures that the piece is structurally sound before it moves forward into the next stages of making.

Foaming & Upholstery Preparation

For upholstered furniture such as sofas and chairs, the structure then moves into the foaming department, where layers of foam are carefully shaped and fixed onto the frame. This stage establishes the comfort, volume, and silhouette of the piece. The process requires a close understanding of form, as even minor variations at this stage directly impact the final look and feel of the furniture.

Leather Fabrication & Upholstery

Once the form is prepared, the piece enters the leather fabrication department. Here, leather is cut, stitched, and assembled using specialised techniques such as paneling, stitching, and detailed upholstery work including Chesterfield applications where required. The leather is then carefully fitted over the prepared structure, transforming the piece into its final material expression.

Polishing & Finishing

Furniture pieces such as tables, consoles, and exposed wooden elements of upholstered pieces are completed in the polishing department. Surfaces are sanded, treated, and finished to achieve the desired texture, tone, and finish. This stage enhances the natural quality of the material while bringing visual clarity and refinement to the final piece.

Final Assembly & Delivery

After all components are completed, each piece undergoes final inspection and assembly before being carefully packed. Attention is given to ensuring that the product reaches its destination in perfect condition, ready to be placed within its intended space.
